Wisdom and Virtue, Connected by Innovation
A Legacy of Montfortian Excellence Since 1901
A Catholic educational foundation operating under Thai law, rooted in 120 years of Montfortian tradition
The Foundation of the Brothers of Saint Gabriel in Thailand is a legally registered educational foundation under Thai law. It oversees 14 schools across the nation, serving tens of thousands of students from kindergarten through secondary and technical education. The Foundation operates under the spiritual and educational guidance of the Congregation of the Brothers of Saint Gabriel, headquartered in Rome.
The Congregation was founded in 1711 by Saint Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort in France. His vision of holistic education — forming the whole person in mind, body, and spirit — has been carried by the Brothers of Saint Gabriel across more than 40 countries. In 1901, the first Brothers arrived in Siam and established what would become Assumption College, the oldest school in our network.
The Foundation Board of Directors is chaired by the Provincial Superior of the Thai Province, with Provincial Councilors serving as ex-officio board members. The Provincial Council, based at Soi Thonglor in Bangkok, provides strategic direction for all 14 schools, ensuring alignment with Montfortian values, Thai educational standards, and international quality frameworks.
